Access to the main functions of www.425dxn.org is provided by the 425DXN App
for Android. It is available on Google Play - free of charge, no ads. Enjoy!

9N7AA ---> Robert, 9N7AA (S53R) has been back to Kathmandu, Nepal since 16
January, and is "enjoying good conditions on 12 & 10 meters. The local QRM
is bearable higher in the spectrum, while it's getting worse and worse on
17m and below. Antenna for 80 & 160 has been removed. While I could easily
reach Europe with very decent signal, only a single QSO was made on 160 and
a few more on 80. Local interference prevents any meaningful activity on
lower bands. For the fall, the plan is to activate a QTH within the Kathman-
du valley, but away from populated areas, covering 160-40m. I have identi-
fied a couple of good locations which should not suffer so badly from QRM,
as is the case in the city. Till then, will continue to operate higher
bands, while also preparing some extra RX stuff for this year's 6m season".
QSL via LoTW, or S57DX (direct only); logsearch on Club Log.

CY0S ---> The CY0S team has been working on the plans for their flights to
Sable Island on the morning of 20 March. Five team members will fly on a
plane, and the others on a helicopter. They now have an absolute payload ca-
pacity limit of 2930 lbs (about 1330 kg), including the weight of the opera-
tors; they are over that weight limitation, and are identifying areas where
they can reduce weight.
The DXpedition is currently scheduled to conclude on 29 March; due to the
operational requirements of the Sable Station, however, the team might need
to depart the island one day earlier (28 March) or one day later (30 March).
The team has now reached the 60% level of their fundraising goal of USD
37,500. The total cost of the DXpedition is estimated at USD 75,000. Dona-
tions are very much appreciated and can be made from the DXpedition's web-
site (www.cy0s.com).

EU DX CONTEST ---> The third edition of the European Union DX Contest (EUDX
Contest) will be held on 4-5 February (from 12 UTC to 12 UTC). Complete
information can be found on https://www.eudx-contest.com/. The objective is
for amateurs around the world to contact as many other amateurs in as many
European Union regions and countries on 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 metres CW
and SSB.

FT8WW ---> As of 27 January Thierry was still awaiting the extension of the
permit to operate on the HF bands. In the meanwhile, he continues SSB activ-
ity via QO-100 (1108 QSOs so far), as well as DATV tests in anticipation of
planned contacts with 16 schools and colleges. As a reminder, FT8WW was QRV
on 30, 20, 17 and 15 metres from 25 December 2022 to 14 January. QSL via
Club Log's OQRS.

TRUE BLUE DXERS CLUB HAS CLOSED DOWN ---> "It is with great sadness that I
have to announce my decision to bring the TBDXC experience to a close", Pete
MM0TWX announced on 21 January (https://www.tbdxc.net/). "This follows the
resignation of our President and Marathon Manager Peter DL3NAA, triggered by
yet another 'scandal' about TBDXC members massively engaging in FT8
activity".
Founded in 2018, the True Blue DXers Club's motto was 'Because It's Hard,
Not Because It's Easy'. The one and only requirement for membership was the
personal commitment to pursuing and promoting DXing as a form of person-to-
person amateur radio activity involving the use of CW or SSB.
