3A - Gianni, I1UWF will be active as 3A/I1UWF from Monaco on 14 Novem-
ber. He will operate SSB and maybe RTTY on 40-10 metres. QSL via
home call, direct or bureau.
3B9 - Kazu, M0CFW will be active as 3B9/M0CFW from Rodrigues Island (AF-
017) from 19 November to 1 December. He will participate in the CQ
WW DX CW Contest as 3B9KW. QSLs via LoTW and Club Log's OQRS. [TNX

7O - Ken, LA7GIA and Shani, HA5DDX will be active as 7O8AD and 7O8AE,
respectively, from Dihamri (grid LK72cq), Socotra Island (AF-028),
Yemen on 3-16 November. It will be a tent and generator operation;
plans are to have up to three stations QRV on 160-10m, running 100
watts (no amplifiers due to weight restrictions) into verticals and
VDAs close to salt water. 7O8AE will operate SSB, while 7O8AD will
operate CW and some "SO2R light" FT8 (using WSJT-X F/H or MHSV -
never on standard frequency). QSL via M0OXO's OQRS and LoTW. See

9L - Shabu, M0KRI will be active as 9L5M from Freetown, Sierra Leone
from 24 November to 5 December [425DXN 1695]. Sadly his QSL manager
(Fred Curtis, G3SVK) passed away last week, and a new QSL route
will be announced in due course.
FG - Vaclav, OK6RA will be active holiday style as FG/OK6RA from Guade-
loupe (NA-102) on 8-27 November. He will operate CW, SSB and FT8 on
40-10 metres (maybe also on 6m), with main activity during the CQ
WW DX CW Contest (SOSB 15m). QSL via home call. [TNX NG3K]
HB9 - HB8DELOY is the special callsign for members of the Swiss Air Force
Museum's Radio Club (HB4FR) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of
the first transatlantic amateur two-way contact between Leon Deloy,
F8AB and Fred Schnell, 1MO (28 November 1923). Look for activity
from 1 November to 31 December. QSL via HB9ACA (bureau preferred).
HK - Celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Liga Colombiana de Radio-
aficionados, eleven special callsigns will be in use on 18-19 No-
vember: 5K0LR, 5K1LR, 5K2LR, 5K3LR, 5K4LR, 5K5LR, 5K6LR, 5K7LR,
5K8LR, 5K9LR and 5J3L (YL operators). Look for activity on 40-10
metres CW, SSB, FT8. The event is organized by Liga Radio Bogota.

KH8 - KH8/AA7JV will be active from Olosega, Manua Islands (OC-077),
American Samoa on 3-9 November using the RIB (Radio In a Box)
system. Main activity will be on 160 and 80 metres CW and FT modes,
with some CW during daylight on 10, 12 and 15m. [TNX The Daily DX]
KL - Team KL7RRC (Alex KL5CX, Yuri N3QQ and Tim NL8F) will be active
from St. Paul, Pribilof Islands (NA-028) on 7-15 December. They
will operate CW, SSB and digital modes on 80-10 metres with up to
four stations. Club Log's Live Stream feature will be enabled. QSL

LU - Radio Club QRM Belgrano, LU4AAO will be active on the HF bands SSB,
FT8 and CW on 4-12 November to celebrate Argentine Tradition Day.

LU - Look for L34IGUAZU, as well as the operators as LU5JAH/I, LU5JIB/I,
LU5JSB/I, LU9JDZ/I, LU9JZX/I and LU9JZY/I, to be active from the
Iguazu National Park on 10-12 November, from 11 to 21 UTC. They
will operate SSB and FT8 on 40, 20 and 10m. QSL via operators'
instructions.
PY - ZZ2RB is the special callsign for the Liga de Amadores Brasileiros
de Radio Emissao (LABRE) to celebrate Brazilian Radioamateur Day on
4-11 November. QSL via LoTW. A certificate will be available, see
qrz.com for information. The Dia do Radioamador Brasileiro marks
the anniversary of the entry into force of the first Brazilian
Amateur Radio regulations (5 November 1924).
PY0T - Team PR0T is now expected to be QRV from Trindade Island (SA-010)
[425DXN 1693] on 16-19 November. The three-men on-site team will
operate SSB and CW; the FT8 station will be operated remotely by
ten other amateurs. Look for activity on 40-10m. QSL via M0OXO's

SP - The Bydgoszcz Amateur Radio Club (SP2PBY) will be active as SN3BUW,
SN3IW, SN6ESH and SN6IU on 6-19 November to honour the memory of
Henryk Kruszynski SP2BUW (1957-2020), Ryszard Czerwinski SP2IW
(1932-2018), Boleslaw Krzymin SP2ESH (1936-2016) and Zbigniew
Gorgolewski SP2IU (1933-2017). QSLs via SP2PBY. A certificate will

T8 - Nobu, JA0JHQ will be active again as T88PB from Koror (OC-009),
Palau on 10-13 November, with main activity during the Phone leg of
the Japan International DX Contest (from 7 UTC on 11 November to
13 UTC on 12 November, http://jidx.org/). QSL via LoTW (preferred),
or direct to JA0JHQ.
V6 - Cezar, VE3LYC has been in Weno since 28 October, but as of 3 Novem-
ber the situation was still very fluid and he did not yet have a
fixed schedule for his trip ("it is like a puzzle in which several
pieces must come together nicely", he says). His current tentative
plan is:
11 or 12 November arrival in Satawal, OC-299 (V62S)
19 or 20 November departure from Satawal and arrival in Puluwat,
OC-155 (V62P)
24 November departure from Puluwat
Hopefully the plan will be finalised on 6 November. Cezar posts

VP2V - Look for Kevin, W1DED to be active as VP2V/W1DED from Virgin Gorda,

4W8X: CONTEST OPERATIONS ---> Eighteen out of the 20 operators are active

IOTA: NEW CHECKPOINT APPOINTED ---> The IOTA Management Team has announced
the appointment with effect from 1 November 2023 of a new Checkpoint to
cover the Pacific area. Grant Willis, VK5GR has agreed to take on Checkpoint
duties for Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, the Philippines and other
Pacific islands, previously covered by Craig Edwards, VK5CE. Grant's email

Allied Forces stations in Germany (1945-80), special stations commemorating
ITU and IARU, stations using the United Nations prefix (4U), Antarctic bases

W8S: MISSING QSOS RECOVERED ---> "After questions about missing QSOs on 15
October on 30m FT8, we have carefully investigated the logs again", PA3EWP
Reports. "We noticed some problems with the integration of WSJT-X and N1MM
on a laptop. We have corrected this issue, which resulted in 2000+ more QSOs
being added to our log. M0OXO has added the missing QSOs to his OQRS, Club
Log and to LOTW (if applicable)".
